Eight teams of America's top chefs competed Sept. 26 and 27 at the Bocuse dOr USA semifinals, held for the first time during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at the Walt Disney World Resort. The international cuisine competition kicked off the festival's opening weekend. The event was hosted by the Today Show's Al Roker and Celebrity Chef John Besh. The Bocuse d'Or USA winning team was selected by prominent chef judges and will compete in January at the international contest in Lyon, France. The Bocuse d'Or was founded by renowned French chef Paul Bocuse. Competition officials include Daniel Boulud (New York's Daniel restaurant), Thomas Keller (California's The French Laundry), and Jerome Bocuse (Epcot's Chefs de France). The winner of the USA competition was Chef Timothy Hollingsworth of The French Laundry.
