From 1966 (though it SAYS 1965). When the Beatles visit a French wine-making village, Ringo spills their large vat of crushed grapes -- an entire month's harvest wasted! How can they refill the vat in just two hours? The energizing power of "I'm Down"!Noteworthy: The animators apparently had seen the TV special "The Beatles at Shea Stadium", showing John playing the keyboard with his elbow during this song, as they re-create that event here.Ringo calling himself "that little old wine-spiller -- me!" alludes to a TV commercial campaign of the time for Italian Swiss Colony Wine, featuring a man who calls himself "that little old winemaker -- me!" This ad series is also referred to in the 1967 Looney Tune "Fiesta Fiasco", where Daffy Duck calls himself "that little old rain-maker -- me!"
A look at life on the vineyards and winery of Domaine Gayda in the Languedoc, South of France. Just half an hour from Rennes le Chateau (Holy Blood, Holy Grail / Da Vinci Code) and the medieval city of Carcassonne Domaine Gayda is in the heart of Cathar country and area steeped in history, beautiful scenery and wonderful vineyards. Domaine Gayda is without doubt one of the most exciting developments in the Languedoc in recent years. How do you say 'Cheers' in French? This is just one of my several questions as I drink my way (!) through the Loire, enjoying some of France's finest vintages...Another urgent question - how to possibly describe the taste of these very special wines?? I'll have to depend on my friends at the chateau, during our little degustation (wine tasting). And of course, my imagination comes in handy too, with these original ways to describe wine:White flowersPearForcePower'Long in the mouth' (?)CitrusyDeliciousa little Flinty...and very Refreshing!'Tchin'!Enjoy and take a look at the complete blog with even better videos at http://us.franceguide.com/spec al/lost-in-francelation/home.html?NodeID=931Get Lost in Francelation!French Tourism video series

One of my personal hates is the way that E.U politicians seem determined to make all of the member states into one massive state. Currency, signposts, laws, metric measures amongst other things are all being standardised. I feel that this policy will in time 'suck the national identities' out of us and that I believe would be a real shame. After all, when you go to France don't you want to mix with FRENCH people? Eat FRENCH cuisine, taste FRENCH wine and learn about the culture and history of FRANCE or whatever particular country you happen to be visiting? Isn't that the point of visiting in the first place? What we the people of the member states need to ask ourselves is this, Do we want to be clones of each other or do we want to retain our national identities and be ourselves? What is so wrong with being different in the first place? Just because we are different it doesn't mean that we can't all get along does it? No, the E.U and the E.U treaty are WRONG and MISGUIDED and we have to realise this before its all too late. This video features one of Hastings annual festivities, the 'Jack In The Green' procession. Do we really want to lose such festive traditions under a pile of european paperwork, laws and legislation? YOUR CALL..
Today Gary Vaynerchuk tries the wines from the South West of France that he has loved for years. Cahors backed by the great Malbec grape is one of the finest values in the wine world, sit back and lets see what Gary has to say.
I went around and asked people what they thought of french people. Then asked them what is one question they would ask a french man, and got an authentic french man to answer them...
