Diese trockene GewürztraminerSpätlese stammt aus der badischen Spitzenlage Ihringer Fohrenberg. Seit 1984 bewirtschaften Helga und Reinhold Pix ihren Betrieb nach Bioland-Richtlinien. Alte Reben, strenge Traubenselektion und nur die nötigsten Eingriffe im Keller ergeben auch in schwierigen Jahren reintönige und schöne Weine. Dieser Wein ist hingegen vieler Traminerein eher zurückhaltender Zeitgenosse und macht nicht gleich nach dem ersten Schluck satt.

From the street this winery located about one half hour north of Toronto looks rather modest t but once you enter the property it is turns out to be surprisingly elegant. They have an 11 acre vineyard and produce their own chardonnay and Gewurztraminer from "Toronto" grown grapes. Other varietals they make are blended with Niagara fruit.
