WOW, first of all, there are no words in the dictionary that could describe how thankful and grateful i am for all the wonderful words i've received for a simple ditty that was only expected to lift up one or two people. I never would've thought that it would come this far in this big ocean of videos. Dear Viewers/Listeners,I have read all of your comments/messages and i sincerely apologize for not replying to everyone sooner. As mentioned in my previous video, i have been cut off the internet for a bit and i lack the time to do so. Although, that doesnt change the fact that i am touched beyond words by all the lovely things everyone has left for me. That being said, it's the best Christmas gift i've ever received. So thank you thank you thank you, to all subscribers, and YouTube, for the feature.I hope everyone's had/will have a good Christmas and a blessed New Year.PS: I will be replying to everyone as soon as i can.=)------------------------ ----------------Don't be fooled by the title, this one has a happy ending. All in the good spirit of Christmas.I wrote this one a few weeks ago, and recorded it last night. This song was inspired by everything i've experienced/read/watched/heard of from movies or stories, about one's lover being far away for Christmas, be it serving in the army, college, another country, peace corps etc... In a way, it's also about not losing hope.Although that's just my opinion, so do share yours. The words in this one are simple and direct. I do hope everyone will enjoy it.I stayed with the 'silent movie feel' as i think it suits the song.It is a bit too early, but as i said, i dont know when i'll be able to post next, but if i do, it'll be another Christmas cover. So stay tuned!=)Merry Christmas to all of my wonderful subscribers and listeners.-------------------- --------------Words and Music by Koko Kaina 2007No, there won't be Christmas for me this yearFor the simple reason being you're not hereThere won't be eggnogs by the cozy fireThere won't be glasses of mulled wine eitherThere won't even be a Christmas tree'cause you're not here to light it up with meOh, Santa honey, won't you bring my baby back to me?'cause i miss him, yes, i miss him oh so dearlyI haven't sent him his Christmas card'cause that would mean we really are apartThe Christmas stockings are as empty as my heartI know you're away doing something goodBut just this once, baby, if you couldYou know you can, and you know should'cause Christmas won't be Christmas...without youTwo days to Christmas and i'm still waiting outsideWishing upon a star that you'll be coming home tonightBut it was cold, it was getting lateSadly, i crept back into bedBut then i felt a soft kiss on my cheekI opened my eyes, and there my baby was...with me!My baby came back for meMerry Christmas, baby
Bretherton Hand Bells play Good King Wenceslas in Bloxholm Village Hall, Lincolnshire. Singing carols, mulled wine and mince-pies all around an open fire. Perfectly traditional and very enjoyable. December 2006
INTERNET singing sensation Daniela Pani is back - spreading Christmas cheer with her own renditions of popular festive classics. Miss Pani, from Woodley, hit the headlines when she claimed she was unfairly booted off X Factor after just one round. She became an instant internet hit after getreading.co.uk caught up with her to hear her sing. Readers were asked to make up their own mind about her vocal talent and more than 1,500 viewed the clip. Now viewers can sit back with a mince pie, a glass of mulled wine and get in the mood for Christmas by watching her latest festive offering.
The title is the essence. Make a video response if you'd like, or obviously you can just comment. It's late [00:37am] and yes - I realise I look awful, but think of it as a visual demonstration of... something... -_-' Also, I did try to speak a lot louder but it is becoming evident (rather quickly) that the webcam is hopeless.*Disclaimer: When I say I enjoy watching my relatives become inebriated via mulled wine, it's my hyperbolic way of saying 'a bit tipsy and rowdy'.Indeed.
Optimizing space and its acoustic consequences, this project brought together DJ Zash, jazz quartet Mosaic, choreographer Tamara Roso, cook Henk Beekveld and a spatial composition for brass orchestra. Several huge churches in Groningen (almost freezing), Tilburg and Amsterdam, were each filled with about 100 musicians and warmed by dancing, mulled wine and Dutch pancakes. In Tilburg and Amsterdam a fashion show was added featuring designs by David Vos, Maria Driessen and Simon de Boer. In a seemingly coincidental and self evident way, the parts melted with each other. My intention was not to create a night with different acts succeeding each other to be watched by the audience, but a landscape of sound inside which wonderful things were happening. The dancers were placed among the visitors, who were free to walk around all the musicians. There was also dancing to the music of the DJ, erasing any border between stage and hall. In this way the audience could really enter the performance instead of watching it. (2001) website
