Der Rupestro ist eine Cuveé aus Sangiovese und Merlot dessen Reben auf vulkanischem Grund wachsen. Das Ergebnis ist ein süffiger, würziger, mineralischer und saftiger Wein, mit Aromen von Himbeere, Johanisbeere, Gewürznelken Veilchen, Mandeln und Kräuter. Am Gaumen ist er fruchtig, würzig, saftig und unkompliziert. . Er kann auch leicht gekühlt genossen werden. Somit ist er also der perfekte Wein für einen Grillabend an einem warmen Sommerabend. Der 2004er und der 2006er bekamen 2 Gläser im Gambero Rosso, ebenfalls ein Stern von Veronelli und 3 Sterne von Duemilavini für den 2004er.
