Unter den Weinen aus Übersee ist Sauvignon Blanc aus Neuseeland sicherlich einer der am wenigsten umstrittenen. Uno degli esperimenti con vitigni alloctoni portati avanti con successo a Farnetella. L'altitudine piuttosto elevata e il terroir particolare permettono a questo Sauvignon (maturato in legno) di perdere alcune caratteristiche un pò invadenti del vitigno in favore di un corpo, una succosità e una eleganza davvero rari per un bianco toscano. Note di pesca bianca, ginestra, gelsomino, salvia al naso si trasformano in bocca in una mineralità espansiva che davvero coinvolge.
