Have you ever wonder how beverage tasters / critiques develop their sense of taste? The answer is not simple. For me, true to my very heart, it's hard work from the past 25+ years! It's a case of learning by immersion and trying to expose myself to as many beverages as possible. My passion of enjoying great drinks started in my teen years. Of course you have to have certain gifts as no two persons have the same level of sensitivities. I have been told I have an acute sense of taste especially to certain flavours and tastes. This I have to thank my parents for who I am but I honestly think what comes after is far more important. We do not drink to taste initially as it's the nose that is the most important...the nose of a top sniffing dog is more powerful than ours and yet it still has to go through vigorous training in order to be qualified to do a certain job. I sniff around whenever I get a chance. The Le Nez du Vin is a useful tool to train and retrain me. I have a 54 aroma kit as well as a faulty kit. You don't have to spend money on these expensive perfumes. I encourage you to be open minded, curious, nosey and sniff around whenever you have a chance and taste what's available within your budget. This is how I learnt over the years and you can too! Have fun!p.s. Wine drinkers, please don't be snobbish and look down on beer lovers! Beer lovers please don't look down on wine drinkers because many of them don't appreciate beer! Beer, wine and spirit - these are living proofs that GOD LOVES US and wants us to enjoy life.
