It's a wine that's widely regarded as one of Australia's best semillons and has more than half a decade of bottle age already, but it costs less than $15. As well we also check out a Barossa shiraz with great cellaring potential and a red blend that comes in so cheap you'll never need by bulk wine again.

This week we look at a couple of wines that manage to coax brilliant results from grapes being grown in areas not renowed for the varieties. We check out a shiraz that has great cellaring potential but comes from a region better known for its rieslings. There's also a brilliant chardonnay from a small producer in the Hunter Valley, a region iconically known for another white varitey. And finally we look at a red blend from McLaren Vale that's a real winner
In the Australia Christmas and New Year have been hot, hot, hot! So with this in mind we've chosen three wines that are perfect for helping you cool down and chill out. First we look at a crisp, fresh riesling from WA. Then it's off to Spain for a super dry sherry that's brilliant chilled. And finally we look at a red that is a great option for those warm summer days.
Normally on wine week we stick to Australian wines. However this week in addition to a couple of Aussie beauts we get into the swing of the Tour de France by looking at a classic French wine which should be available around the world.
Wine week episode 2. Danny and Brad provide a few tips on what might be great wines to grab over the holidays, including a couple of great sparkling choices!
With winter well and truly on us in the southern hemisphere we thought it a perfect time to look at three fortified wines ideal for nights in front of a fire. We check out a tokay, a muscat and a port style that are each brilliant at ridiculously inexpensive prices given the quality.
It's all about the Grand Final this week in Melbourne, so we take a look at three wines which would go down nicely while watching the big game. First up is yet another great value riesling from the Clare Valley, which is a regular on our quaffer list. We then look at a great entry point to trying out the great Torbreck range, and finish off with a terrific GSM blend which is perfect for drinking right now.
When most people mention the Pyrenees, the first thought is Europe, but there is also a Pyrenees in Australia. This week we kick off with a brilliant shiraz from the Aussie version. We also look at a bright, dry Rosé from the Yarra Valley and a Clare Pinot Gris that contains more depth than usual for the variety.
This week we check a contender for Australia's best riesling that won't break the bank. We also check out a big Coonawarra red blend that is back in great form after a few disappointing vintages and a very young grenache/shiraz that is extremely drinkable right now.
