Larni enjoyed a few glasses of the Tahbilk Estate Marsanne 2005. It's a light white with a not too sweet and not too dry palette. A good introduction to white wines.
8.9.07My cousin Marc (actually the son of my father's cousin) and Jacqueline married at the St. Anne church in the village of Marsanne near the city of Montelimar in northern Provence. The marriage ceremony was actually the main reason why I returned to France. I wanted to be there. When Marc was born, I was the who 30 years ago at his baptism had pulled the switch to activate the church's bells. After his parents' divorce, Marc came to Antibes to live with his mother. He was just 11 years-old. I used to spend time at his house playing with him and his brother Pierre. That was just before I left France. I had not seen Marc since then so I decided to surprise him on the day of his marriage.
This week we look at a white wine which is not the best known variety, but one worth trying - especially at the price. As well we look at a great Shiraz and yet another brilliant 04 Coonwarra Cab Sauv.
